English Language Challenges

Image
The English is one of the language that I want to learn to speak fluently, the other ones are Italian, French and Portuguese. Despite this languages have a beautiful accent than English, this is the most spoken language before Chinese. So, thanks to globalization, it’s very important to learn it. My experience learning English at University was cool, I mean, we practice writing and speaking, something that you can’t learn easily in anywhere else. When we use the blogs to write something about a topic, we can learn and apply new vocabulary and training grammar, best of all is that we let flow our creativity and that’s help us to improve our skills on English. I think that I need to improve my ability to convey my ideas, I mean, be quickly to connect that. So to enhance this, the only thing that I have to do is write and speak. Overcoat the last one. One of my friend doesn’t know anything about English, I mean, he only know to say Hello, How are you, fine and you. He went ...

Changes to my study programme

Image
Pharmacy is a career taught by around 11 universities, among the most outstanding are: Universidad de Concepción, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad de Chile. Today we will talk about the latter since it is here where I study. Its formal duration is 11 semesters (as seen here in the image). The first time I saw the curriculum, I liked it a lot because I had a bit of everything ... mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. It was something I was looking for when deciding what to study in the future. Well, not everything is rosy, however beautiful the curricular mesh, pharmacy is reputed to be a difficult career because, at least in this university, the actual duration is about 9 years. As for the university itself, the atmosphere is super quiet, I would say it is very welcoming. Sometimes it gets a bit small, especially at lunch time (I have no idea why there is no casino in this university). In the laboratory, it takes a couple of things, but they...

In my opinion...

Chilean politicians I believe that the most of politicians of this country don’t really care about well-being of the population, they only care for their interests and not for the community. It is a matter of seeing the congress, attending the meetings as long as the subject is of interest. They do not go to work when they want and still earn millions of pesos. In spite of everything, I have faith in younger politicians, so I hope this situation improves in a few more years. Buying instead of adopting pets? I am not in favour of buying and selling of any animal. I do not believe that animals are objects and therefore we cannot establish a price to them. One of the worst consequences of this issue is animal exploitation, specifically in pure-bred animals since paid a lot of money for them. There are many abandoned animals on the streets that need our care, as well as foundations that are responsible for providing temporary housing. For this reason it is necessary that we do not ...

Dissociative identity disorder

Image
Dissociative identity disorder is a controversial clinical diagnosis in psychiatry. Although it is a recognized diagnosis, there is controversy about whether it is a separate disorder or merely a manifestation of other psychiatric disorders. In any event, the condition has two primary diagnostic criteria. The patient manifests as least two distinct personalities that alternately control the actions of the patient. In at least one of the personalities, the patient has no memory of the activities of the other personality, except those that could be explained by mere forgetfulness. Although the condition is thought to be very common (affecting up to 3% of the population), it is very poorly studied, and both the diagnostic criteria and treatment often vary greatly from place to place or even therapist to therapist. However, the condition usually manifests itself in patients who have a long history of different psychiatric diagnoses and treatment failures. It is often associated with su...

Post Graduate Studies

Image
Sometimes I thought about what I'm going to do in the future, what will I work? I mean, who doesn't do this question? The idea of doing post graduate studies is a good way to obtain superior knowledge and a better job. Fortunately, pharmacy has many areas in which to perform, such as forensic analysis, clinical pharmacy, industry, cosmetic products, lab work, among other things. Also, you have different ways to reach them, you can do a diploma, magister o PhD degree. The first one usually lasts less than a year, a magister lasts 2 years and the last one generally lasts about 3 to 4 years and is given to applicants having a major or a professional degree. I’m interested in doing a diploma of Clinical Pharmacy in University of Chile, where it lasts 290 hours and costs 2.964.500. Classes are afternoon and that's good because it allows me to work during the day. I’d like to do a post graduate studies inside of country and then doing abroad. Because when you want to ...

Specialize in Physic, Chemistry, Biology or Math would make me happy for the rest of my life. I admire the people that allocate their life to science, is a hard path, so… that’s what I would like to do the same. Well, I prefer outdoor, I can’t being at home so much time. Also, the jobs that I like aren’t indoor haha. With respect travels, this is one of my life goals. I would like to travel so much to discover new cultures and learn about history, art, people that belong to another countries. Although, If I think about it, travel thanks to my job would be so cool too. That’s the reason that I need a good salary, but I’m not too ambitious, I think that 1.000.000 would be ok. For...

Music in my life

Image
I have to say that I love music, I think that is the perfect place to express yourself. I mean, the melodies and lyrics are very varied, you can hear a sad music to music which make you dance or stuff like that. The point is that you feel comfortable with the music that you're hearing. The kind of music that I like are very diverse, from Classical music (especially piano and violin) to Reggaeton, also Pop, Indie rock and Indie pop. It all depends on how I felt, if I'm at party, studying or just resting. But, Although I love music, I don’t know play any instrument L when I was child I barely play flute, and today I can’t even remember how play it. I’d like to learn to play guitar, violin and piano, but I’d start with guitar because it’s the classic instrument that all know to play. Also, the three instruments appears on the most of music. Well, As I have mentioned before, I like many genres of musics but the singers that I hear so much are Arctic Monkeys, Sticky Finge...

My favourite book and film

Image
Time after I get to know more about this gender and I was able to note that's what I like it. I have to confess that I'm not much for reading books, so I don't have a book that i really love. but I can tell that the topics that I like are science and terror. A book that got my attention was Dracula by Bram Stoker, I read it in 2015. I was interested in that book because i have always wanted to know about the story of vampires, not about the vampire stereotype (I mean the actual type of vampires), but rather the beginning of that creatures. Bram Stoker was the first one to add them the characteristic of vampires that we know today: any reflection on the mirror, become an animal, discomfort caused by light, necromancy, etc. Now, about movies... I love them. I'm always looking for recommendation for add more movies to my list (yes, i have a loooooooooooong movie list). Movies that I enjoy so much are: Donnie Darko, Fight club, Pulp fiction, Inception, A Clock...

Image
Nine years ago, when I was 9 years old, I had one of my best experience on my life. (well, at the moment). I had the opportunity to travel to Florianopolis, Brasil Florianopolis is wonderful, have an incredible landscapes with a crystal-clear water. Specifically, I stayed in Costao do Santinho, It is situated 20 km from Fortaleza de São José da Ponta Grossa and 43 km from Hercilio Luz International Airport. Costao do Santinho I went with my father, mother, sister and grandmother. I have to say that this place is huge, I don't even leave the resort because they had whatever you wanted. Swimming pools, disco, beaches, a buffet, childcare, spa, comfortable rooms, a stunning view. It was amazing I experimented for the first time the tropical weather, it was strange but i liked. I remember that one day was raining but we didn't use any umbrella because the day was so warm, enough to enjoy the rain haha also I saw so much exotic fruits that I didn't dare to tast...

A country I would like to visit

Image
I'd like to visit many countries because I love the idea of travelling around the world, it would be a wonderful experience. Some of places i would love to visit are Japan, England, Greece, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and much more. But the #1 of my looong list is Norway, I think that country is soo beautiful, with imposing mountains and majestic Northern lights. Helgeland, Norway I don't have a specific place on Norway in my preference, but I believe I have to meet the Capital first and then to venture to the other places that are more connected with the nature. I really like to know about their traditions and custom, especially everything related to their Gods, like Odin, Freyja, Thor, the paradise of the warriors: the Valhalla, etc. Northern lights also got my attention, those incredible lights with their beautiful colors are simply magic. Imagine rest on the grass in a peacefully night with that giant lights across the sky. The n...
